Well.......if it's a "Vee Only Race" we need, then the FART race in August @ Mission Raceway will fill your boots. I promise! And...last year, some of the BC guys went to PIR the w/e of Sept 24/25. Good fun, great people, great racing, but not enough cars. This year we're ALL going. Group 9 = Special race, V's only?? Mark that on your calendar as well. Last time 15-25 Vee's at Pir Mmmmmm?? Come on up to Mission August 5,6,7th. and we can discuss it all. There's tow money... ;D Register early, it's going to be a busy w/e. and you don't need to pay until you arrive. Register online, book paddock spot, show up! Bob Williams

Congrats, Stephen. You can thank my little old motor--hmmm, maybe Ron Chuck?
What happened to Dennis 2nd race?

The power of Dennis' motor tore the splines clean off his drum. The horsepower was so frightening he packed it up in order to save the transmission from certain death.
That is my interpretation anyway. In reality, in qualifying he lost drive and thought it was the ring/pinion. Turned out to be the splines in a drum and he called it quits in error. Hard to believe he coasted all the way down the hill and was flat towed all the way in without the drum coming off.

The axle nut stays in place to hold the drum on - no splines inside is the rub. Axle spins fine inside the drum bore.

Yes, however the backing plate should have been so mangled and bent it should have been obvious. I had the same thing happen at Heartland Park and it almost turned the backing plate inside out.
