I have been ot of the loop for sometime and it has come to my attention that there have been conflicting rumors as to the ACTUAL dispersion of the FORMULA VEE Assets of MYSTERIAN RACECARS since Kurt Lemay's decision to hang up his torch in regards to building Formula Cars and dedicate his copious skills to custom fabrication for Hot Rod guys.
In 2007 Kurt sold the M5 Formula First project and tooling to Scott Meier and that single design became MYSTIQUE RACECARS. Scott has subsequently sold said venture to another party.
Shortly after that Kurt sold Me, MARTY CAMERON the remaining assets of MYSTERIAN Racecars, meaning all plans, tooling, Dies, Molds, steel and rights to the manufacture of the M1, M2, M3 & M4. Those remain in MY posession and under my jurisdiction. My intent was to relaunch those models as ELFRACECARS until my finances took a nose dive and I was forced to relocate for the moment to Austin Texas for career reasons. ELEFRACECARS remains in my plans however and I am speaking with a potential partner to help relaunch that venture in 2009.
SUGARGROVE CUSTOM CARS LLC has not the plans, the rights nor the interest to manufacture Kurt Lemay's FORMULA VEE designs. They do, however, have the rights to build the M5 FORMULA FIRST which is an amazing design that Scott has driven with much success this year in Cendiv. I wish them all the luck in the world as that project was partially my brainchild (and the chassis was originally designed to fit my capacious form).
ANY inquires involving the former MYSTERIAN FORMULA VEE models should be directed to ME at
Marty@teamelf.com
NOTE: Quinn and Bob you will have your d**n axle fairings for next season, no need for snotty asides of terse e-mails. Yeah I haven't delivered them as promised and I am sorry.
Kurt Lemay in BOTH cases retained the name MYSTERIAN as it is the name of of fabrication business. Last I spoke with Kurt he has little or no interest in Formula car manufacturing.
Thank you
