I just talked to the gang taking the cars out to Georgia and everything is going well with the exception of flat tires. They are in Alabama looking for a spare tire replacement and are 6 to 7 hours out from Savannah. Jeff Olinger, Ron Wake and I are scheduled to leave at 8am from SFO tomorrow and arrive in Savannah at 6pm with a layover in Atlanta. Will try to update daily.

Way to go, Slim. You beat the national champion so why don't we just call you the national champion--you deserve it. Interview with Slim: Interview with Brundage Cup winner Don Pepperdene (1 Mb) What a wonderful win for Jeremy Grenier and the last three laps of incar video are really cool: On-board video of race winner Jeremy Grenier during the final three laps (18 Mb) On the dark side: Who knows what's up with Dennis? What does it mean "Dennis is not good"? www.eformulacarnews.com/news_info.php?n=3654 for interview and last three laps of video

He's fairly bruised up but ok. His knee and calf took a beating but he's talking about doing the national at VIR in Laura's car if he feels better. He was taken to the hospital for a check up but was released the same day and returned to the track. I guess a bunch of people pitched in to fix his car but it needed too much stuff and Dennis didn't want to do it halfassed.

Any idea what his status is for the May national at PIR? Double National at Seattle? Rose Cup?

Sorry about The confusion on Dennis. Obviously I was speaking about his health not his driving. He started the weekend with a pinched nerve in his back and the accident did not help. Slim did well trading the lead only for short periods on the track. He felt better about his chances once one of his main competitors spun out early on, but he had to still contend with Seve Oseth, who by the way talked to each of our group drivers about how to get around Roebling Road. This is a 4th gear only track with a short box. Some did use a long box because of the long straight that is over 1600 ft long. Laura did well getting to the front from her 7th place start only to fall vicrim to a tire with a slow leak and pulling off at the end. She was the only one to qualify for the Brundage cup race. Al Olinger seemed to be quicker in the back section than most of his group he was involded with and took advantage by passing them there Jeff Olinger did not get to see the green flag of his first race return He sad he will get it done at Laguna. Scott Meyer took the pole and finished 2nd in his race. Dick Ryan aka Flash drove the Ringwraith, qualifjed well, but encounted nothing but trouble at the start of the race. He tought it wise to retire than risk continueing. Ron drove well qualified 7th, had the 3ed quickest time in his race group unfortuntely he had contact with another car on the last lap that dropped him 10 places to 17h and out of the feaure. I do have video. The weather did all it could to interfere, but in the end it was just a minor distraction. This was a fun weekend nothing but Vee's. Everyone get ready fpr the 50th.
