Brian,
Thanks for explaining Peter's encounter with officialdom. I doubt he'll turn off the transponder again. The multiple waved-off starts gave him time to drive to the black flag station, turn on his transponder, return to the track and chase down the field and reclaim his grid position of seventh. From there he was able to work his way forward to a solid second place finish...a very happy result to a race that started out looking like a disaster for us.

Bruce, yes, Tom is young (16 or 17?) but not without experience. He raced Karts for years and last year ran F BMW. And he had a radio link to the car's owner who was giving him advice. And I apologize to Peter. I was only going by the results posted on MyLaps. Who would ever have guessed that a Vee could be given a speeding ticket? dave (can't wait for Laguna!)

Dave, I stand corrected. The one thing I remember from Driver's School was never ignore any flag.
