Decent field so far given the # of cars that show up for nationals nowadays. Too bad it looks like we might get rained on. Channel 8 is saying rain Sat. Channel 2 is saying rain late. We race at 1:25, so keep your fingers crossed.

Im in the pits listening to the motorcross racers, can't wait for the drag racers tomorrow night. Brett, we're in the grass north of the pits. come join us. Nice drive up but not the same leaving the 86 and sunny sac for the rain. Oh well, its fun to race in. Wish more folks would come up but I understand 4.40 fuel really hurts. Hope to make Laguna on the 28th( it''s a lot closer) See ya all soon

Brian 1st Me 2nd Dennis 3rd Laura 4th
Race started dry with both posners on slicks and the remainder of the field on rains. During 5 laps of pace car the sky opened up and the rains came. Cars slid every which direction. I was about 10 seconds behind Brian at the end of the race.
I really wanted a dry race. :-(

I knew it would be interesting with the FF and F500 on slicks with a damp track so I was extra careful at the start. Quinn got a great start and disappeared. The 500 spun in front of the field and really slowed us down. After 3 laps a FF spun and Mark Keller in his brand new Piper t=boned the spinner on the front straight. It looked kinda ugly but both drivers were ok. One car, a DB1 did not have a lift provision since it's roll bar was covered and it took several laps to get him out of the way and sweep all the broken parts. Like Stephen said, the skies opened up big time and filled our fuel test portpits. On the restart the leading FF and the now famous 500, both on slicks, took the start and then slowed way downin the middle of the straight, allowing the vees to take the lead. I was quite fortunate since I love to race in the rain and was able to take the win with a 3rd or 4th place car. Another victory for a soft sprung car. hee hee Hope to see you all at Laguna.

these sites crack me up. Thinking that the discription of the area where we sit is a dirty word, the software changes my word to fuel test portpit. hilarious, just hilarious, heaven forbid we say a dirty word.

Wish the rain would have held off 20 minutes! Slicks were a good call for a bit!

Brian, are you running the regional event at Laguna at the end of the month?

Hahaha.. I read the fuel test portpit thing and thought about it for 10 minutes.. What the hell, how did water get up there? And why would it matter? Thought it was some "funny" racing joke that I had never heard before.
Now, does it replace every dirty word with the same thing? We should start a dirty word dictionary.

I was riding along in the fuel test portpit of my plum chucking vee and was so startled I shoved slit my pants. It was amusing until some fat bill snitch came over and showed me her bowl oobs. I said damsel it and drove away.
