Spoke with Michael Smith regarding the spec tire in 2014 and he said that the office would circulate a survey to find out what the class wants for next year.
I will vote for an open tire rule since the AR tires would likely not be competitive with the Hoosiers and becuase I plan to run at Laguna regionals.

With the runoffs here next year I would be in favor of a one year deviation from the AR tire rule. However, I believe that if that rule were to go beyond one year it would kill the class completely on a regional level.

Scott - I think the Hoosier tire will surprise you. While not as durable as the AR, you will be competitive for a LOT longer than you remember the old sticky tires to be. Just be sure to follow the break in procedure.

After running many years on the AR's I feel that the Hoosiers are great!! I agree, if you break them in correctly they are much better the the AR's.

Has anyone heard any further from either Mike Smith or Gary Pitts? I talked to both and have not heard or seen anything yet. I do know Gary is working with the FF guys on their spec tire rule change.

The region circulated a petition two weeks ago for the FF drivers. No response since then.
