All I can say is those that survived this weekend's last race, I congratulate you.

Sundays race was without a doubt the weirdest race I've ever been in.

For those taken out by Rozelle... I talked to RJ Gordy at impound on Saturday about enforcing the 115% rule he touted at the drivers meeting after qualifying. On Saturday I passed Rozelle 3 times. RJ said they didnt want to send anyone home but that he would look into it. I guess he promptly forgot.

I know Chuck Horn's race was ruined on Saturday by Rozelle (again) and it appeared the same can be said for Toad, Mitch, McCarthy, and Gav on Sunday... Maybe a united front by the FF/FV brigade BEFORE the next race to arrest something bad happening for the umpty-dozenth time?

Not to add to the carnage, but it seems that Dennis Andrade was left on the hill and was spotted only after the race ended. The corner workers did not notify or missed this incident. This is bad in so many ways. Something will need to be corrected before they extend the track.

United fronts and brigades don't accomplish anything. If anyone feels wronged by another driver, and talking hasn't helped, the ONLY option is to write a driving protest. The protest will do two things: It will provide a record, on which further action can take place, and it will compel the stewards to act.

Many years ago, we passed a petition on a driver and virtually everyone in the class signed, but it was considered as hearsay by the stewards and the courts, and nothing was done. That experience taught me not to ignore bad driving.

One driver on Sunday began a protest regarding repetitive hits from another driver but unfortunately, was persuaded to not to pursue his protest. A questionable decision at best. If we don't police our drivers it's apparent that no one else will.

Brian, thank you for keeping my name confidential in your post, but I would like to explain what happened with my decision on the protest after Sunday's race.

Long story short, I got bumped in the braking zone at turn 14 at about the two marker enough for the car to get sideways and I was not able to catch the car in time before I ran out of track surface. I was protesting the "avoidable contact" that happened. I decided to pull my protest because of
1: I did not try to talk to the other driver and see if we could work it out before going to the stewards, as I was less than happy with said person and refused at first to talk with them
2: My reason for the protest was solely to try and penalize the other driver's finishing position out of frustration of my ending position after the race, not because it was a dangerous move that could of had dire consequences or something to that effect
3: It was not done out of malicious intent; we were going into the corner about 10 mph faster than a single vee (just a rough estimate) and when I jumped on the brakes the other driver was not able to slow down as quickly as me, hence the bump

Due to these reasons, it did not sit well with me to go through with the protest. As for the persuasion of my decision, I was being told what I already knew, so I feel I wasn't really "persuaded". I talked it out with the other driver afterwards, and I am confident I made the right decision.
