Celebration of Life for Jeff Canfield

The Celebration of Life for Jeff Canfield will be held noon on June 13th at Frasinetti Winery in Sacramento. Jeff’s sudden passing was a shock to all of us. Let’s get together with his family, friends, and coworkers to celebrate his love of photography, road trips, and Formula Vee. As much as Jeff loved photography, I don’t have many pictures of him at the track to share. He was always the one taking the pictures. There will be a memory book for you to share a picture or write about a favorite Jeff moment. For me it is the “Jeff Look”. This would typically come after some smart-aleck remark of mine and he would give me “the look”, usually followed by “You know I can reach you from here.” Jeff was a great friend to have around and we miss him. The memory book will capture some of the good times we all shared. If you want to include a story or picture but can’t make the celebration send me a private message or post here on the board. I will make sure it gets included.

Directly after the celebration there will be a casual get together at Brian McCarthy’s for those wanting to do some bench racing and maybe some grilling. If you don’t have Brian’s address send a private message or we can get you directions at the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeff’s honor can be made to the Chabot Space & Science Center in Oakland.

Important Note: I found out that the room at Frasinetti Winery for the celebration is not large. I believe the capacity is for 100 people. Please contact Martin Cameron if you are planning to attend.
