Saturdays Qualify started with only FF and FV. Will leave the reporting on FF to the FF People.
The FV qualifying session went well for only one of the four competitors, since only one was able to complete the session without any complications. That left Ron Wake on pole, with Dennis Andrade, Skip Streets and Don Manthe, each of whom experienced problems, in line.
That left the sprint race, to complete the trouble for the FV group. The start went well for Dennis and Skip as they stayed together the whole time, finishing together one, two. Don was third and Ron fell short of halfway by 50 feet, with engine trouble, completing the trouble each in the FV group experienced.
Sunday's race had Skip, Dennis, Don and Ron Competing. At the start Skip and Dennis started well, but Don and Ron were separated by two FF's. This caused both to be trailing the leaders by almost the length of the front straight after the first lap. The two, Skip and Dennis stayed together, trading the lead several times. While the leaders fought and had a great time Ron was able to pedal his car up to them with three laps to go. Dennis won with Skip, Ron and Don finishing behind. Don went two seconds faster than previously.
On a side note, I'm expecting the next race at Buttonwillow will be just as good.
Chris, I heard you will be driving. As I told Terran, I expect you to continue what he started.
