Ron Chuck went up there last Sunday to check out the new indoor kart building, and it appears to be still under construction. I may go up and see if there is a name on the building, or any info to be had. I'll keep everyone posted.

Oh cool, ANOTHER track! We need to get together a Vee driver off season "Fantasy League" at these tracks. I am ALL OVER THIS!

Good idea Marty, maybe we can talk to some of the Vee guys and try and set something up. Either individual or team concept. We have 3 in the bay area and 1 up in Sacramento.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone down there besides Colin have a shifter kart? I have been thinking about it more and more. www.patsacres.com is a track pretty close to me. However, with trying to restore my '60 Bugeye, finances may prevent it. Also, Im sure Heather would appreciate it! Shes already happy I am gone alot of weekends racing. I, on the other hand, think a shifter kart is the perfect filler between race weekends.

quinn,
i know a lot of the ford guys do have shifters. i have never driven a shifter but i had a spin in my brothers 100cc direct drive kart during the year. it was hard work! at low revs i couldnt breath cos of the vibrations! colin could speak better to this, but i'm not so sure the skills needed to drive a shifter transfer all that well to driving a vee. But, they do loook like a whole load of fun to drive!!

Having fun is what Im looking for with it (if I ever do it). I actually raced sprint karts with the 100cc Yamaha with centrifugal for about 5 years. I also drove Harding's kart at Sears. Driving that thing was a serious workout, but it was way to small for me which made things difficult. Anyhow, running one on off weekends sounds like a ton of fun!
