OK, this is a note to anyone who knows any potential new driver/car combinations we might drag out before driver's school next year.
There is a Convoy headed South to Buttonwillow in October to take two swell local guys (you all know who I am talking about) to driver's school. This would be a great opportunity for any other folks who would like to do the school thing in time to run the last race of the year (and the FV Jubilee I believe).

I will be going by myself as of today, but I think I will get some people to help out. I still need to pass my physical and prove I am alive.

I knew that there would be other people, it's just right now, my normal partner has other commitments. I was not discounting the group of fellow crazies.

I know that there are only a few weeks left before we head on down to Buttonwillow. I got my engine in and have found a few more things to do, isn't that the way it always goes. I hope to be ready and I hope Jeff is not too relaxed as he is on vacation leaving the prep work to Marty and Norman. Marty will be at T-hill with the car, so be sure everyone watches out for him as Jeff needs it 2 weeks later.

Team Elf Update:
Jeff is on the road, if anyone sees him please drop him in any mailbox (postage is guarenteed)
We will NOT be running the car at T-hill as it is not ready to go (95% there but the prep team has previous commitments [Marty to clients (Hi Sean) and Norman to some vertical slab of rock]. The Viper DOES live again though, after some fall-dee-rall with the distributor (never let Norm set your timing). All that remains are a few odds and ends and hopefully we will squeeze in a test day before Buttonwillow.
More news as it becomes avaialble.

I have been informed that we might have another candidate for school. It seems that Brian Swanson's brother might go down and get his license. I say good cheer.

The Swanson clan has chickened out on us.
Woe be unto them, may their carburator floats flip and their valves float!
