I have recovered running gear from an junked bug and discovered that the turkey legs, all four of them, have quite a bit of wear on the weight bearing side of them. Are they symmetrical, ie, can I still use them by moving them to the opposite side of the beam they were on and make use of the non worn side of them? Also, is there an easy way of finding out if they are straight?

Dan,
i dont know the answer tothe first question. AS for straightness, I know Ron Chuck (and others i'm sure) have jig like devices they drop the turkey leg into to check straightness

Dan,
They are interchangeable. You can use them on either side. The only difference is top and bottom, the bottom one has the mount for the shock.
