Hey all you Ford guys! I need a set of skins to put my Formula First conversion on the ground withm got anything sitting around? It would be nice if they had SOME compound on them for early test but mostly they need to be FORD tires.

Der Elf Boy, did you ask the right question! I will be putting on new rubber @ Thill National next weekend. Will you be there? Come on by and I'll save them for you (the old ones). dave

Dave;
Yes I plan on being at Thill for at least one day, possibly two, working on my film Project.
Thanks!

Marty, how many SETS do you want/need? I know some other drivers who will be getting new rubber. dave

Dave;
Jeez I am a rich man. Well if no one minds I would like to sort through the effluvia to get one or two set of used rubber that can serve both to get the car on the ground and to get it on the track for a couple of sessions. I will probably be up Saturday early and stay over for the races Sunday so maybe we can get some kind of Group 4 thing going for dinner?

Marty, do come by and I will save a set or two. Definely come by for some social time. With the dwindling number of open wheels, I have heard people mention combining FF and FFirst. Will that allow each class to be competitive with each other? How do you feel? Anyone elsr? dave

Well the First cars are going to have to run as "Formula Special" to start with, which means with with all the winged Formula cars, but once there are enough cars for a class of their own I hope they will be moved over to Grp4. I don't think they will be combined with Fords in any other fashion than that. I expect the performance envelope will fall between Vees and Ford.

Dave;
Family Business is going to most likely prevent me from making it to Thill this weekend. If you can hold onto the tires I will come get them from you, if not I will understand.

Marty, I will see if I can get them home so you can pick them up at Sears. If not, we can probably find some for you. dave
