Bruce, I didn't read how they decide on the pay outs. For Thill, we have a total of 40 entries; 12 CFs, 1 F5, 14 FFs, and 13 Vees. So the biggest class is FF, them Vees, and then the dozen CFs. Why do they pay more for the Vees? And where are the rest of the Vees? Didn't we have closer to 18 enter last time? Is this race the same time as the Rose Cup? dave

Dave,
I have no idea how or why the money is as it is. Truth be told I have no idea how most of the decisions are made. The example that Michael Bernstein wrote about in the Wheel made no sense to me as well.
As for the Vee's my excuse is money. I'm on a budget and have to choose which races to enter and which to pass. I think most Vee racer's are like me, although some have jobs that seems to get in the way. You are right about the Rose Cup, but only 1 Vee from our region went. That would be Al Olinger, who at the young age of 80 is trying to qualify for the Runoff's.

Bruce, Mike and I talked about that whole situation at lenght. Tom Sutherland is entered in car #10 for the coming regional. He is a very fast driver who is capable of being on the pole again. If the start would be the same as the last time he was on the pole, it is a real safety issue as well as a racing advantage issue. As I mentioned in another post, race # 1 last event had too fast of a pace lap. I would rather NOT have a split start than have the field spread around the whole track. dave

Maybe we can have a separate group meeting and iron out some of these problems. I figure it can't hurt to talk and see if something can be worked out.
