marty,
Thanks for the lead on the article. It was very well done, a great read and presented a fair comparison between classic 1200 vee and F1st 1600. I had to make a copy for my files i enjoyed it so much..Bob ;D

Marty Have you crossed over to the dark side, or are you coming from the dark to the light? Good article, and probably a preview of what is to come. Der Nebelmeister

I find this all very interesting, but how far away are we from changing the Formula Vee class to Formula "take out a loan" First? How many people will this push out of the class? I can tell you that I can barely afford this wonderful habit, but I will consider going back to my two wheel ways if this becomes cost prohibitive. I have found the Fvee guys to be some of the best people I've ever come across in my 20 years of racing. I think the dwindling number of entrants in Fvees is a known factor and has been a growing concern, and fear that this number could drop even lower. Now with that said, I will just shut up and drive! See you at Laguna!

Well the question of class "cannibalism" often comes up. As of right now I know of very few people being driven OUT of FV by First in this region. Some are considering the conversion but only so they can try racing something differant. These folks would still be posting entry fees and, if they show up in significant enough numbers, they will wind up simply running differant cars in Group 4.
At the same time the First Concept had brought NEW PEOPLE into the fold (Hey Bob and Marc), bringing with them entry fee we previously did not have before! Added to that is the good news that some of these people aren't old enough to remember Viet Nam or even Starsky&Hutch without Ben Stiller&Owen Wilson.
