Hello All ;D
I am elated (and relieved) to announce that the VolSep Stinger Form First car from the San Francisco Region of California was completed two days ago. It has been a long and arduous task, but satisfying. Most all work was done in house, frp work, paint, machining(engine and other parts),fab (chassis and suspension), race prep, support equipment, etc. The only exception being dynamic balancing of engine parts. This is my test bed and parts for the next car are here and construction will start immediately. Some changes will be made with information gathered during the process of building this car. We will be using our own shocks, sway bars and many other purpose built parts from our product line on the new model. We can at this time supply engine, trans, brake, and many accesssories for FST cars. We will soon have sway bars and our shocks/springs availabe after some testing on new car in 2006. This car is mainly to get the class recognised (and have some fun) in our region and on the West Coast and test the engine, transaxle, wheels etc. I will be posting pics in a few days, if/when i figure out how to do it. I am outfitting equipment and support to trailer/ truck and will test next weekend at an auto-x to shake her down a bit. I want to thank the group in the mid-west for getting this going in the U. S. and my lovely wife for letting/supporting me in putting in 14 hour days for the last few months in getting this done. Our journey has just begun,i look forward to the next trail. I also excited about our participation out here in the west in these cars and someday hashing it out in a "National Competition" to see who is best in the Good Old U.S.
