A voice from in the Darkness
The Mysterian M5 Production Prototype is back from the powdercoaters and into final assembly. Kurt Lemay himself is overseeing the construction of the car at Mysterian HQ in Reno, financed by Mysterian Team Driver Brian Swanson.
Additionally the Mysterian Junior Team, Team Elf, is now well into the design phase on a differant chassis, The MG-10 Warlock, with plans for Metal to be cut before the end of the year on the first chassis. The Warlock is to use M5 Bodywork intially but will be a completely differant car.

Since Der Elf has come out of hiding, it should be added/known that a third Evolution has been sold by West Coast Evolution dealer, Lou LeBlanc. The three cars are scheduled for early '06 delivery.
If my counting skills are up to par, that brings the First count up to 7 cars for '06.

Ian, I think you've seen this car at Mid-Ohio a couple of times, but here is an Evolution at Grattan (Rob Howden at the wheel). Click on the pic for full size. +GF+

Alright, some life. Glad to see some activity in this area.Congrats to Lou for selling some more cars. Marty's team is going strong. We at VolSep Stinger Racing are building three new cars at this time, very exciting. 2006 should be a good take off, with 2007 an even better foothold for FST out west................The first FSt out west, the VolSep Stinger can be seen at formula-first.org.............Onward we march

Bob,
I forgot to count your production run of (3) new Stingers. That would put the West Coast FST numbers for '06 up to 10 cars! Sounds like a good time this summer out west.

we are making progress on the crusader. It will be a real car in time for some races next year. I need to hear from everyone who intends on running a ffst car. If there are enough I will see about getting the cars to run in group four in SF region, if not they will be running with all the formula cars in group two. Also we need to nail down our rules. The restrictor plate, the transmission, and a front beam mod. should be worked out if the class is going to take off.

Depending on the work schedule for the Studio in the coming months, which looks busy for the first quarter, don't count on the Warlock for this season. The computer models showed up some changes that involve a redesign. and it is a simple matter of time allocation.

Thanks Bob,
Mr. Toad said that if I am a good boy I can drive His M5 for a couple of events so I may be out there in that (gotta get the car count up so we can run with Group 4).
I also have my Dad's car to restore as well so it will be a busy year.

OK who is actually planning on running their First Car in SCCA this season. We will more than likely be running in Formula Alphabet for a time so it would be nice to think that there will be more than one of us.
As of right now I am hoping to be on track to race at the Regional/National at Sears Point with my M25 conversion. At the same time Brian Swanson's M5 will be ready by then and since we will be running in two groups he will probably run that race as well.
Anyone else game? For anyone who might habe a car but not a "shoe" to put in it I know of several drivers who might be available, several of them off the podium at Road Atlanta/Mid Ohio.
We get four cars the arguement can be start to be made for getting the cars out of FS.
