Hey all, I was referred to this site from another vee site. I hope this is in the right section.
A little about me. I live in Salem Oregon, and have drag raced my whole life. I own a decent size car club that some of them are into autocross. So last year I thought I would try it out. I was hooked! I ended up taking first place in the SM class with my Evo which is built for drag racing. I also tried a hillclimb. The hillclimb is what got me wanting a dedicated race car, so I started looking. One of the members in my club offered me the Vee. I had never heard about them before and thought it was the coolest thing ever so I bought it. I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. I owned it for almost two weeks before the last race of the season last year. It didn't make it through the first day. So over the winter I have been re doing most of it to either make it more reliable or so I fit in it. I think the car was build for a 4 foot tall person. lol. But after a long winter and being a little disappointing in the car for a couple of months it is just about ready to race. I have some running issues that I can't figure out, but have about a month to figure them out before the first autocross. My plans are to eventually be able to road race it. I still have a lot to do to make it legal for that, and don't have the money at the moment to make it GCR compliant. I have been trying to learn as much as I can about my car and what I can do to make it better. So feel free to mention something if it doesn't look right and can be improved. Well enough about me and my car. Here is some pictures. I will do a build thread on this forum if you all would like.
The skull and crossbones were a joke for my carclub. They are not permanent.
The first exhaust I have ever made.
