I understand it takes months to get a passport renewed. If I make it, I'll be solo.

Brian.......I understand that the U.S. P/P is good for 10 years. The canuck version is only good for 5 years The tow money covers the cost.........and you have change left over.........7-10 days for the expedited one, maybe less since you have an expired P/P already. Just sayin. See ya here. Bob

Hmm.. According to this - travel.state.gov/passport/renew/renew_833.htmlIt usually takes 4-6 weeks or 2-3 if expedited.. BUT if you need to travel within 14 days, you can schedule an appointment and apply in person.. See bottom of page. Do it!

yea, I saw that too. Problem is I would have to travel to SF to find an agency. I'll look closer next week. PS: to expedite with a private firm it will be over $300 plus postage.

Glad I have a year left on mine. The good old days (pre-9/11) were much easier. In college we used to get groups of us together to go party in Vancouver all the time (since we were 19...which was the drinking age up there). Driver's license was all that was needed.

New York used to allow teen drinking until the carnage on the roads home finally killed it.
