You may be aware of the resurgence of vee racing in the Vancouver B.C area due to the efforts of Bob Williams and Scott Arthur(Al Ores' son in law) and their families. The second annual vee invitational will be held Aug 7 and 8 with a testday on the 6th. Massive track time on the Mission roadcourse in Mission B.C. just 2 hrs northof Seattle. Two races including a vee only feature. There is a contingent of 15 vees locally, plus those of us going from Oregon and Wa. TOW MONEY paid is $225 for Ca drivers, more than covers today's gas premium. Guessing 25 vees on the grid, could be more. Track is twisty, short straights, perfect for vees. Contact Bob Williams at 604 946 4461 for further info.

Looks like they're keeping the same schedule as last year, so that's 2 races each day - one race with the normal open wheel group and the special FV race - then repeat on Sunday! +practice +qualifying each day..
The CCGP weekend is usually a great weekend to come up anyway, decent crowds on the stands, lots of fancy cars that come up especially for the charity event and a good cause - I can't wait!

Bob, is the $225 paid to CA drivers for the tow up to Mission B.C.? if so is it paid to each individual entrant? (example: both dad and I each get 225 for towing, or we get 225 for the both of us). What is the entry fee for the event? Might be worth a trip up north for some good racing

$225 each. Don't recall the exact entry cost but it was about $300 and the testday was about $100. Call Bob Williams for details at the # above.

Here is a link to the Family Affair Racing Team Inc. (F.A.R.T. haha classic) website www.unionracing.ca/from the schedule they have posted there are a lot of on track sessions (5 sessions a day!) and with at the max a 40 car field it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Would they allow SCCA licensed drivers? How many Cali drivers would want to make the trip up?

Scca license is fine. Need a passport or enhanced driver's license to cross the border.

Hi Everyone, The Family Affair Racing Team (FART) is excited to host this exclusive FV event, being the support race for the Children's Charity Grand Prix at Mission Raceway in BC Canada. As a point of interest, there is a regional race in Seattle (PR) the weekend before, and a regional in Portland (PIR) the weekend after our race. So if you really want your racing fix, you could hit all three of the best tracks in the Pacific Northwest! Make sure to get your entry and paddock request in asap, since this weekend is going to be very busy with the Grand Prix going on, and you don't want to be pitted out in the parking lot! See our website, www.unionracing.ca, or our discussion board on Facebook for more info, or contact myself at arthursix@shaw.ca Thank you! Jennifer Arthur Family Affair Racing Team

Hey Terran: If you and your dad bring 2 cars, it's 2 entries = 2 tow funds. Pretty simple. 3 cars on one trailer, 3 entries.......3 tow funds. We want to make this event as appealing as possible for everyone. It's a 15 hour tow from Infineon, and as Jennifer mentioned in the above post, 2 great tracks on the way here. Lots of prizes, gifts, new friends and a real great time. Priceless!! See ya here eh? Bob Williams

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to post a reminder of our race happening August 6th & 7th. The last time I checked, there were 13 vees entered...room for lots more! Entry fee is $245 for just the FVee Race (includes a practise, qualifying & race Saturday AND same again on Sunday), or $355 for the FVee race/Regional race combo (includes a practise, two qualifying, two races Saturday AND same again on Sunday). There is a practise day Friday for $115.00. What a deal! You don't have to pay until you get here. And don't forget there is tow money (CANADIAN CASH), prizes, a dinner on Saturday night, and a friendly hockey game (no riots I promise!) Get your entries in asap! The paddock will be filling up fast so get your requests in! Please email me and let me know how many people will be attending for dinner. If you have any other questions, please contact my self or Bob Williams (1-604-946-4461). Thank you! Jennifer Arthur Family Affair Racing Team

An enhanced drivers license, if you have them there, or, of course a renewal of your P/P. is all that will work. Would you let me know how many will be coming in your party Brian. 604.838.8264. We need an idea for dinner, and then we'll know just how much CR you can sneak in for us ;D Just kidding everyone, the Posner's are bringing it.
