Does anyone know where I can find some good in car video of Portland? I would prefer FF or FC to get a rough idea of what gear is used where. I'm going up for the double national and I've never been to PIR. Any little track nuance tidbits would also be welcomed.

Other than the Chicane, everything is pretty straight up. The track is baby bottom smooth but the chicane transistions over concrete and it will have less grip than the asphalt. You might need a tall gear to get from 6 (3) to 7 (5); we do in vees. The numbers in para are without the chicane figured in and often get confused in conversations. Bring your rains, it's still the NW. While not an issue in vees I would suspect that PIR is a low down force track since the straights are so long.

Brian, thanks for the info. I'm really looking forward to running at PIR. We definitely have the rain tires on the "to bring" list. Thanks again!

Here is the forecast as it currently stands: Forecasts chart indicate a very nice 4th of July weekend. Right now, it looks sunny with highs near or warmer than 80 Saturday & Sunday. West breezes may return for the holiday, cooling temperatures into the 70s, but dry weather looks likely to hold! Right now 75 Fri, 81 Sat, 86 Sun. That could change, but lets hope it holds!
