We had our Hoosier series races at Road America last weekend. Here are links to in car from Rob Clark (Race 1) and Jason Steeb (Race 2). Interesting point, Rob is in a purpose built Evolution FST while Jason is in a converted Lynx B (without the extra 2" added in the wheel base). Point being, they are both pretty darn close to equal (driver being the biggest delta).
Halfway through the second race, Doug Seim (converted M2) loses a head stud creating an oil leak on left hand corners from the right head.
Lots of drafting/passing

Marty,
Had 13 entered, but one renter did not fit in his rental car. We ran our past two weekends with 12 cars each. The sad part is that the first weekend at Grattan had two FV's and Road America had only one. At the regional level out here (Midwest) FV is really hurting.

Must have been really limited grip. I clocked a lap at 2:42.70. That would have only been 5th on the runoffs grid last year. I thought these things had horsepower!? :-)

Brian, Cen Div FV is really hurting both Nationally as well as Regionally. The June Sprints saw 9 FV's take the green flag and the "CAT" National at RA saw only 4 FV's. Look at the National entry numbers for Cen Div FV, 43 entries for the year A few years ago, that would be the entry list for one Cen Div National. Steve, Grip was excellent. Saturday we ran within .5 of the FST race record and on Sunday, Jason Steeb reset the record at 2:39.6. Most of the weekend, if we did not fight, we'd run in the low 2:40 range. I'd love to compaire on track with a good quality FV, but there doesn't seem to be too many willing to show up to our races. FST tires/grip can be deceiving. We race on the hardest compound Hoosier makes. Most get 25 heat cycles out of a set (1 season). They may look racey, but we slide around quite a bit.
