Greetings everyone, we got here around 5:00 this evening and found Stan Townes easily. We got the car ready for practice on Sunday. Saw Dennis Andrade and wished him Happy Birthday. Stan said he will try and sign up for practice Sunday. Weather is brisk 60 to mid 50's. There is a lot of open paddock spaces.

Practice today, was able to do all three sessions dry. The rain fell after while we were putting in the race motor. It was cold. Had dinner with Nuby, Funny guy. Stan had brake issues, is still trying to figure them out. First day of qualifying tomorrow, hope will not be too much hassle with 500's.

Well the day started out wet and cold, got to the track and prepped the car. We originally put on rains but by the time to go out Ron Chuck decided to run the slicks. Good decision. We were late to the grid and forfeited our 6th place starting spot. The track was slick and with cold stickers it was slippery, once the tires warmed up and the track was half way dry on line Times started to come down, in the end Ron got 8th. Stan passed on his qualifying session as he was tired from all the work he did fixing his brake problem. He would have gone on a dry track with a nice sunny part of day. The gathering for the meet was tonight and it was much better than last year. Tomorrow is the FV party at Womers.

Well the day started out warm and clear. The qualifying was good with clear weather, unfortunately Ron had a few things go wrong in the tech shed. He was under weight by 4 lbs and mixed his fuel which resulted in a DQ. Stan went out for his qualifying run and the brake gremlins struck again, on further inspection the cause was found to be a split washer at his master resulting in a leakage. Both need to do better tomorrow. The Womer's party was good and he announced it was his final one as he will be retiring from racing.

Bruce - What times did Ron turn in the session? How is the car handling? How is Dennis going? Times look good, does he seem to feel the car is handling well?

Today went well, the DQ was taken back as they were experiencing trouble with the scales and the gas was legal if done separately, but not mixed. The trouble was the gas we wanted to use did not arrive at the track until Monday. Ron was timed at 2:47 Dennis Was at 2:43, we found out why today. He has a cam lobe going flat, he was lucky to get under 3:00. Car is handling well, it was not in the corners he was losing, but on the long straights. Changed engines tonight, hope it is dry for our session, so Ron gets in a good time. Stan's problems solved, brakes no longer an issue. It was cold all day and There was a little rain after the engine was changed.

Today we went to the track where it started to mist, then turn to rain. Needless to say the track was wet as Ron went out on rains. Knew he couldn't improve on his time, but needed to know if his power was there. It was, we are happy. The day cleared up after their session and the day stayed dry and clear, but cold. It seems the race starting early is a good thing as the weather predicts a front coming in around 3:00pm. Stan's session was at 11:20 and he had a dry clean track to race on. It was still cold. Race tomorrow at 9:30 CT 7:30 PT on www.speedcasttv.com
