FF Newsletter, November 2011
1) Congratulations to Peter Nosler for winning the FF Regional Championship. A well deserved championship for Peter, he ran consistently at the front, won the most races, was always well prepared, minimized the effect of the few issues he occasionally had and drove beautifully, especially after overcoming the harsh realities of life the previous year. Congratulations also to Denny Renfrow for his Club Ford championship, also as a come-back. Season points here:

2) As was announced in an earlier FF Newsletter Sean Kelly is converting his FC Van Diemen to FF configuration and is going to join us next season. Another significant change for Sean is he is having a baby with his girlfriend Miriam, due June of 2012. Congratulations in advance to Sean and Miriam.
3) The FF tire rule change proposal was sent to RE Mike Smith and the Board last week and they are in the process of digesting it all. You may get an email from the Board asking for your opinions. Please support this initiative.
4) Jim Turley was offering a 6-month old set of un-mounted sticker Goodyear rains at the last race, asking $475 for the set ($800+ new). They are a different diameter than the Hoosier R60a so would require some ride height changes from an R60a setup (a minor thing). I don't know if they are still available but it would be worth contacting him if you have interest. His email is mail@jimturley.com .
5) As has been done in the past, Thunderhill will be offering a free test day in the off season, tentatively scheduled for December 31st (yes, New Years Eve). Shannon Ell of Thunderhill has not pinned down the exact date as of this writing but will in a day or two so if you have interest check the Thunderhill Calendar. The club office usually sends out an email invitation as well.
6) It is with much sadness that we recently learned that Ken Rozeboom's wife died suddenly last week. Ken was a long time FF competitor (currently campaigning an FC) with many friends and admirers in our group. Clearly Ken would be heartened to receive a card from any of you so inclined. Please don't phone.
