The Infineon Rational is a little ways off, what is the interest level for National Drivers to show up? I will be signing up for the national portion, and I am imagining possibly Wake and McCarthy to be signing up for national maybe (hopefully)? What will it take for some of the northern and southern racers to come? I can do what I do with my friends and bribe with free food

Talked to Jim Petrek, he mentioned that he will be running AR's, since he does not feel the need to purchase a new set of tires for a single event. Still they can run both and get points for both, with the added bonus of getting the requirement for license renewal done on one weekend.

It will be good to finally race with everyone from the region again no doubt! but I was thinking if we could get a big field that would be a lot of fun, especially if we could get people like the Posners, Saslow, Edwards, Turner, and a couple of those guys to come join us

Don't hold your breath Terran. There's a double national at Portland the next weekend and with fuel prices being what they are, I don't expect anyone from the North. These bookings on the same weekends or back to backs, just hurt everyone and reduce entries. Look at what happened last weekend at Laguna. I wanted to do Sears, then Portland and finish the month at The Ridge but it may well be too much to try. Imagine $1500 in entry fees, another $1000 in fuel and then pay for the race needs? I don't have that kind of wallet.
Some folks feel there are too many races and that's diluting entries as folks have to make economic decisions.

Bruce, I don't think T&S can run a regional & national concurrently. There would not be any equipment for a back-up system. As per the driver's meeting w Mike Smith @ Laguna, the driver will need to declare what kind of points they are competing for prior to the race. Any one have any further update? dave

Wish I could! This was one of the races I really wanted to run this year. Work complications made it impossible

I would think it is an envy situation. You know, a fender car wants to be an open wheeler.

last I looked there were 282 entries. The pits should be really tight. I'll probably come down Sat. to spectate. Group 4 has a lot of cars and will provide plently of challenges.
