Well our boys are on their way back from the Big Shindig, with Bruce doing a Mel Gibson impression (ROAD WARRIOR). They are bringing back the "Longest Tow" award and many stories to tell.
In Final qualfying Mr. Morse wound up 31 and Mr. Wake 41, in a field of 60+ Vees.
Let's all pause for a moment and think about a 60 car grid...AHHHHH...like a cool breeze off the delta ( High tide, not low). Think about 60 cars at Thunderhill...in November...that would RULE!

Well, I spoke with Bruce yesterday just as he was pulling up in front of Ron's house. Both he, and #41 are in good shape despite golfball sized hail, mid-western passing techniques, the rocky mountains and amorous Motel denizens.
Bruce and Ron received notoriety at the event with reception of the "longest tow" award, which Bruce should wear as a medallion so everyone can appreciate how LONG that tow was.
Hopefully he will come online sometime soon and share some of his stories with us!

Hello everyone. Well it was a very long but eventful trip. I got in around 6 on Weds. That is 11 days on the road. I must say out front that anyone who has a chance to go to Road America will have a very enjoyable time. The Chicago region puts on a great show. The representation from the west coast was small, but had a good showing. Marc Edwards 13th, Laura Andrade 24th, Dave Morse 26th. Unfortunately for Dennis Andrade and Ron Wake were both punted off with flat tires. We also will be welcoming a new Vee driver to our region soon, his name is Ethan Shippert. This young gun is a very clean and fast driver, who finished 6th in his Citation. You boys up in the north bay should welcome him into our community. On a personal note I must thank Don Manthe, Marty Cameron, Patty and Brent Milner, and Ron Wake who were with me every step of the way on my trip to and from Wisconsin. This is a road trip I would do again as long as I have a co-driver. I missed not having all you clowns out there. I hope we can do some of what they did on our 40th.
