We had a great weekend under clear and slightly chilly conditions. The track was quite surprising and exceeded my expectation. It is a bit bumpy but has a ton of elevation changes and challenging turns.
Ethan completely dominated FF with the practically "vintage" Crossle. The softer set up really worked to his advantage. Nuby won both vee races with Mark Edwards earning 2 seconds and Dennis A. gaining two 3rds. Kim Madrid took 3rd on Sat and followed with the 4th on Sun. Charlie Turner fought mechanical issues with everyone helping Sat. night to change a tranny, to swap finishes each day with Kim.
Other races were equally fun to watch as 123 entrants attacked the course. SM & SRF had the largest fields and the small and big bore groups both accounted for good fields. National champ and fellow BOD member, Mike Lewis absolutely ripped the place in his GT-1 Jaguar. I really hope he makes the TH major so everyone can watch this combination.
Indie park is a private club most of the time and the facilities are outstanding. The straight doubles as a runway and there are several war birds, including a couple of Russian Migs, on static display around the pits. It is a bit off the beaten path, 70 miles east of Tucson, but I'd like to go there next year with my car.
