Really sorry to hear about your dad. He was not only a founding father of our class, he was a good friend that I enjoyed spending time with. My sympathy and prayers to your family.

I saw that on FB the other day Blake. Ill never forget sitting in your motor home with him at Thunderhill back in 2008 or so talking about his book and his excitement over The Pacific (that was still a few years away). I took a copy from him and have been reading memoirs of the Pacific theater ever since. A great man, great champion of FV, and a great American. A life well lived.

That guy was one of a kind. I remember reading how he wanted to come home from the war and build and race cars, which he did in spades.Lucky guy to have had him as a dad,Blake.

I first met Chuck in 1985 while racing Formula Vees. I always admired his ruthless passion for the sport and his constant drive to make the next cool zoomy part for Blake's car. Every time I visited his garage I learned something new about making fiberglass parts. It wasn't until recently that I learned of his incredible military history. He was an amazing man and I feel so lucky, and honored, to call him my friend!

He will be missed by all of us! Blake, our condolences to you and your family. You dad was one of a kind!
Will we have a moment of silence for him on grid and a missing man formation on pace lap?
