Looks like the weather will be great. At least it won't be cold like it has been the last few years at Road America. They predict it to be in the lower 80's to upper 70's. Of course you can not disregard the fog that is always around Laguna. This is one aspect that the east can not equal. Let's hope the earth doesn't want to shake, rattle or roll, when our guests from back east are here.

It seems there is a slight heat wave that will be coming through the area starting the end of this week. It will be get the temperature up to the upper 80's. Weather still looking good, next week as well. Starting in the upper 70's returning to normal to the lower 70's. Still no rain predicted.

Finally got in today, SCCA really needs to get the clown act solved. It is suppose to be a club for members, not for those that can pull out the big green only. The idea that we are stuck in Siberia and can only access the main paddock if we walk the miles to get there, is just plain dumb. We will wait for tomorrow and see if the promises are given.
It didn't help that the weather was in the 90's. Laguna was too hot today.

The weather has been above average until the first day of racing, when the fog made it's appearance and all was back to normal. That will be the only day, because there is another heat wave coming. The FF race was great as there was great competition from all through the field. Stan Townes finished strong and earned the hard charger award. DZ fell from his grid position to dead last, only to finish in eighth place. You know the winners, Grenier, Horn and Shippert.

The FC race was good, but lacked any of the excitement that the FF race produced. Locals Hakewell, Negron, Manning, Kincaid finished in the top ten. Cross lost his wing and failed to finish.

It seems what we saw at Laguna Seca on Sunday was not what was, for the competitors of FV. Seems the final outcome DQ'ed the entire podium, according to the tech inspectors. I received a final notice from SCCA, that had several mistakes, as to who finished third and announcing the winner as Rick Shields of the Spec Miata class. It looks like they had a hard time getting anything right.
