We're planning vee only weekends for 2015 and need to know how many folks are willing to travel to run in special events. These events will likely be a part of existing events and be a part of SCCA, vintage or pro weekends. We envision having races in So. Cal, Norcal, Oregon and Washington and probably include the Mission Race in BC. We can't make commitments if you don't so let us know what you want.

For me I would probably be willing to travel to the So-Cal events and as far north as Oregon. Is there a chance that FST could be included? We should have four cars next year in SF and two from So-Cal. Could help the overall program by including FST and I think they will play well with the FV's

I have no issue with including F First. They would likely have their own race within our group but I see no problems as long as they are good sportsman.

Everything else sounds great!

BTW, I'm only interested in this Vee series if AR's is the tire of choice. Not interested in running Hoosiers.

Obviously, you're not talking about the First but your vee. The tire of choice will be left up to the competitors. It may not be likely that the AR will be the choice since many folks will be doing other racing but when we get closer, we'll take a poll. Look for an announcement regarding a Motorsports Reg. page that will be used to communicate news and events.

No, I'm not referring to the FST. They already had the forethought to come up with a long lasting economical tire rule.
What about a class points separation for the two tire manufactures? Like FV-AR and FV-H?
I personally would not be interested in racing with AR's against Hoosier cars in the same class.

Instead of a "spec tire" rule would it be possible to put a cap onto the number of tire sets used throughout the "series"? Say, only 2 sets allowed of whatever tire you choose throughout the 5 or so weekends? I understand it would be hard to "police" the rule, but I feel we would all honor it. Just a thought.

Guys, I think we're racing to the details well before it's needed. Like the event we had at Mid Ohio, I gave the entrants the opportunity to design their own event. We did not give out trophies, we required checks instead of credit cards, all with the intent of driving costs down. We'll do the same thing for 2015. As the schedules develop we'll see what opportunities exist for single class racing. At this point, I don't see a SCCA event that will provide it. VARA, SVRA and Soverign offer hope for single class racing but likely under vintage driving rules. Stay tuned, I am planning to set up a site on MSReg. to collect names and email info right after the holidays.

Count me in, I'd travel as far as thunderhill (from Seattle) to race with a bunch of vees. As this will be my second year racing FV I'm likely to be less of a hazard to navigation on the track ;-)

There will be a western conference held the weekend of 1/24,25 where I plan to discuss dates and opportunities with the regional management up and down the west coast. Stay tuned.
It appears that we have a back to back opportunity in August. The NW region has an event at the Ridge on 8/9 and the FART race in BC the following weekend. There will be only 4 days between races so it's possible to make both events with one tow.
I'd like everyone to consider the Majors events since the grouping is fairly clean and the track time is decent. We'll have events at Buttonwillow, Thunderhill , Portland and Seattle.
