We tried to get the event changed to a 3 day event but the locals and workers didn't want to spend 3 days there. Buttonwillow will have a 3 day event in May and will cost $100 less than this one. It's been repaved over the winter.

Yeah, we're not going either Scott. Don't know if Ive ever missed the spring National/Major down there since it opened. But, the way things are going, I don't mind focusing on racing the Crossle in vintage this year.

SCCA seems to be doing everything possible to discourage people from coming. Last years major race was the single biggest race SCCA SFR has ever had at TH. So what do they do for this year? Come up with a awful 2 day schedule and for only $575.00 What a bargain!

I think it was Gary last year, dont recall for sure, who told my dad that clearly SFR is providing a product that people want since entires were so high (after dad mentioned the expense and scheduling of races last year). Dad told him it was the Runoffs that were driving entries and they would likely experience a significant drop in 2015. My guess is that dad is right and SFR is not quite the greatest thing since sliced bread as they believe.

Our requests to the SF board have fallen on deaf ears. If anyone chooses not to attend this event, I would ask that you write the SF board and tell them why you choose not to attend. board-directors@sfrscca.org.

Wow, it is so interesting to watch what is going on in SCCA from the sidelines...interesting tinged with sadness I have to say.
So I heard the total entry list for this event was about 150 cars, is that true?

There were 4 vees. Dennis A. Skip Streets, Don Mathe, and Ron Wake. Dennis won both races with Skip running second both days. Don and Ron each took a 3rd.
