Warning, I had to spell the town "At-water" below with a hyphen as otherwise, it came out Athingyer!
Whoa, I've been so busy going back and forth between, oh, I've go to get a competition Vee, to boy, that sure is a neat Vintage Vee, that I didn't even see this. Sorry, Marty, I'm also getting ready to leave town and that is a project in itself.
OK, being a kart racer, and liking to road race, when I heard about the Riverside Motorsports Park in At-water, 100 minutes away from my home, I contacted the CEO, John Condren (who, BTW, is the 1974 Formula Vee, CalClub Regional Champion), and offered to promote the track on eKartingnews.com, which is one of the two largest karting forums and the forum that I have mostly frequented over the past 2 1/2 years. Now that you have given me yet another forum, here's the latest :
Riverside Motorsports Park
Announces “Racer’s Night” in At-water!
Tuesday, 2 December 2003
An informal evening to meet the management team, hear about the
project, discuss the issues and get answers to your questions.
This event is NOT open to the public, but rather it is specifically being held for
racers, drivers, riders, spouses, crews, sponsors, promoters and those already
involved with our sport. We will NOT be discussing the popularity of auto racing
and motorsports in the United States, or the types of race cars used, the
economic value of the sport, or any of the basics that are usually presented to
the general public. We WILL be discussing where the new facility is located, how
the facility will be designed, how and why it works, how the facility will be used,
and how you can play a part in ensuring its success.
The event will start at 6:00pm with a race car exhibit, free food and drinks, and
the opportunity to come and meet the management team that is bringing worldclass
motorsports competition to Merced County. At 7:00pm the Riverside
Motorsports Park team will present a 30-45 minute overview of who is behind the
project, what the project involves, where the progress of the project currently is,
what the timeline is, etc. After the presentation, the Question & Answer period
begins and goes until every question has been addressed. Afterwards, stay
around, meet other racers from the area and enjoy some serious bench racing!
