With Colin's statement about making the class exciting again in mined, what about some kind of volunteer handicap system. We could use weigh, restrictor plates, etc. This could make it much more interesting for mid pack Vees. Most mid pack Vees have a very low chance of winning. They are not going to get better because of a lack of money and/or time. The lack of results begins to wear on them and they lose interest. This is a group of competitors that needs the excitement of winning to keep going. It is a little contrived, but maybe a way to get the car count up.

Another possibility is to petition the region to have qualifying races instead of qualifying sessions. Starting positions would be by the draw in the qualifying sessions and the race would be based on finish.

Brian(s);
Speaking as a midfield giuy in SF Region I think we have more fun then the guys at the front! I would liek to have more time racing and less time "practicing", considering the amount of track time we get these days.
How about instead of "practice" we as to have that as a "qualifying" session, then turn qualifying into an "A Main" and setting the grid for the "B Main" which would be the final race and where the points would be awarded.
