I plan on sending in my entry for this tomorrow and was wondering if the numbers will be going up or are we stagnated. This might be the last time at this track for a while unless something changes between our club and those at Sears.

The deadline for late entry fee is this Friday the 13th. Blake Tatum made a suggestion that we pit in the area up the hill behind the grandstand from where we usually pit. This is designated as parking area #3 and can be found by accessing www.infineonraceway.com/images/2004GeneralMap.lg.jpg This has a very good viewing area for the racing.

So what is the problem between SFR and Sears?

Brian;
The only problem involves what it costs to rent the track and conflicts (for dates) with other major sactioning bodies requirements, specifically NHRA and NASCAR. These bodies make up the majority of the tracks profits for the season but bring along with their events demands, specifically for "dark days" before their events where the track is closed to everyone save the competitiors from those sanctioning bodies who come in to test. Two of our regularly scheduled events (most significantly the Mid Summer regional/national) conflicted with "dark days".
There has also been issues in regards to how much is required from the club for track rental for events. Blake and the board have been working diligently with the track on this. There has been some pretty gloomy 4into1essments made, not just in the FV community, about our chances of running at Sears at all but there maybe a break in the clouds coming soon. The region is working hard to solve the discrepancies because Sears Point is the most accessable venue in the region and produces the greatest car counts all year.
Sears will be on the schedule next year and there is a good chance we will get more events there.
Hopefully Mr. Tatum will soon be able to fill us all in on the details.

The entry list is out and we seem to finally have a good field of Vee's. The count is 17, but there seems to be someone missing.

I have heard that there will be a 19 Vee field and the chance to see two Vipers on the track at the same time.

Revised entry list is out and we stand at 21 cars and Mr. Toad isn't on the list. That would make us 22 cars.
The SRF are at 23 car...anybody else we can cajole into coming out to play? Anyone got John Lease's Phone number?
