Guess that screws the double national in Seattle. Why does SFR hate nationals? We used to get a lot of CA cars to Seattle for the double national. WHY schedule this and screw PNWR? Can't say I am surprised, just pissed off at SFR YET AGAIN!
Have fun with the bonus race. I won't be there...
EDIT: Oh yeah, if it is the 45th race then is again supports my position that it was a STUPID weekend to plan this. I know I sound pissed...I am.

Blake - I agree with Quinn that this date is poorly chosen from the standpoint of national drivers. Please do what you can to change the date. I'd like to attend the party as well as run the few national races we have to run. Thanks for your efforts.

This is definitely disappointing. I am surprised that it was decided to basically eliminate the national drivers from this great event.

OK, everyone hold on! This date was picked to give everyone the most bang for their buck, there is no conspiracy to screw the "national driver" or the Northwest Region! I will look into alternatives. If we pick the last regional of the year at Thunderhill October 24 to 26, would that satisfy most of you. All the Nationals should be done by then and the runoffs will be over.

I'm OK with it, Blake. If it's the 45th celebration and the final race of the Pacific FV Series it could draw a very good field. I suggested last year that having the final race of the PFVS at T-Hill would give us the best chance of a big field for the championship race as opposed to Seattle or Portland. Unfortunately that late date raises the possibility of "nasty" weather around Willows, doesn't it? Can you guys without web feet live with that--is that the big question?
I appreciate that the late May date is a very good time for all but we folks who like to run national races so I understand if it's decided to keep that date--afterall, it's our choice.

Blake, BTW---I apologize for my reaction. you know I tend to be a bit reactionary. I appreciate everything. I will hit late Oct rain or shine. If we give you full wets, I would like to see what you can do! However, lets see some SFR cars up in Seattle for the Double National. Blake has made his way north,so lets see the rest of you. Ian has made it and done well (although WAY back when he had a red car). Scared?

Blake,
Has anyone posted on the VARA web site and informed them? I saw that you have asked on this web site.

I just got a new copy of the tenative schedule. The Fv feature weekend is October 24 to 26. This should provide ample time for everyone to get back from the runoffs and get ready for the 45 anniversary race at Thunderhill. Additionally we will have spilt starts next year. We will have a drivers meeting and discuss how this will work but we want a close spilt. The make-up of group four will be FF, CF, F500, FV, FFst.
