I know the one in Georgia is in April, but for most of us out here it is too far and or too expensive for us to go. I was wondering if there were any plans to hold one out here on the west coast. I'm sure there would be alot of interest.

It seems it is scheduled with the final Regional at Thunderhill on Oct. 24-26, 2008. Keep an eye here for schedule www.sfrscca.org/component/option,com_easycalendar/task,view/id,70/Itemid,99999999/cid,22/ and this board for other updates.

We are planning 4 groupings. Vintage, Formula First, Regional (spec tire) and National ( Tires open). The format is not yet decided. I do know we will have a separate single race from the double points regional. This will not be a regional points race. Practice and qualifying will most likely be combined with the regional grouping, that is a combined practice with the FF, CF and F500's. A separate Qualifying session, just Vee's.

bruce and every one else,
is there really a need to have an open-tire class? last time we just ran the spec tire. Maybe a poll here could provide some sense of how many want to run an open tire.
my preference is to get as many people running the same tire so we can have a real race!

Lets see who plans on attending. The idea behind the open tire would be to get some of the national guys to show up and make it so they do not have to buy a set of race tires for one weekend. All the prize money will go to the regional tire racers.

Those planning on attending please respond. If any FST show up I will race FST otherwise I am bringing my VEE. Also looking for contingencies, right now we will have $1000 cash. I am pretty sure I can get the club to donate one free entry at Thunderhill for 2008, I should also be able to get a free test day from the track. If anyone has trinkets and trash with FV, redline, or anything else let me know. The track will be repaved by then, the wheather will be good for HP, and with a good draft, maybe that track record can be broken

Really GUYS, I would like to know who is going! If you know someone who is not reading the forum tell them to log on and respond. The number of responses is directly related to the amount of time I spend on this. Brian McCarthy told me he is going. We changed the date specifically so the national guys can make it, so lets hear it from those guys!

I plan on running John Baty`s D-13, AKA the Cow Car. I believe John will drive Dave Pierrotti`s old Caracal, and Ben will drive the Crusader. And since this race will coincide with regional #12, I`m pretty sure Jim will run too. ;D

Depression over blowing my engine at Laguna has kept me from pulling it and getting it to Ron. Perhaps I'll get motivated this weekend.
