What a great weekend of Vee racing. Congrats to Ron Wake for winning the regional championship and Congrats to the two race winners Rick Schick and Ian Sweeney. We have had anniversary races at 35 years, 40 years, and now 45 years. Every year the racing has been great and the prizes have been fantastic. I feel bad for Jim Petrik. He was fast all weekend and was closing in on the leaders when his car snapped out from under him and hit the front straight wall. His beautiful car suffered some serious damage. I wanted to thank everyone for attending. The turn out was better then I expected. I especially want to thank Bob and Quinn Posner, Alan Harrington, and Michael Smith, for making the long haul down to the race. Additionally it was nice to meet Mike Palermo from Peak Performance. One of the best parts of the weekend was the formula vee village that Al and Jeff Olinger set up for us. It was really cool having the majority of the FV guys in one compound hanging out together. Also thanks Jeff for bringing all of the margarita mix and tequila. The margaritas were reel good!!! For everyone that stayed at home, shame on you! It will be five years before the fiftieth anniversary race!!!

To Rick and Ian, congrats are in order, you guys were inspiring to watch from the pit wall. And to all the competitors- I`m envious! Next time for sure. Congratulations to Ron Wake, the 2008 SFR FV Champ, it was an excellent year long battle to the end! To the Olinger`s thanks for the great get together and hospitality, and Blake, kudo`s for an awesome event. See you all at the banquet. Mike

I've got some fun footage from front & rear facing cameras. My son Terran took some video from trackside as well as some really good stills of everyone. Problem is that I have been swamped with work since I got back from the race and have not had time to get it pulled off the various cameras and onto google video/youtube. But I will come up for air soon and try to post or get Terran to do it.

In case anyone is interested here is video from Aaron's car during the B-Day race. The camera was mounted on the beam facing backwards.
