Just a reminder for those that plan to race, the entry deadline is next Friday the 5th. The Vee numbers are up and hopefully more are planning to attend this one. The Fords seem to be holding their own in numbers. Should be a good one.

All right guys, the entry list has been posted on the SFR web site. Another big turn out: 43 total, 25 Fords (12 FFs, 13 CFs) and 18 Vees. Hopefully, without the gravel traps (AKA quick sand) we should have some great weather and good racing. The largest run group is group 7 (Spec Miatas) with 49. I feel the need for speed!!!!!! dave

There are a few Vee's that I don't see on the entry list. I hope they will be late entries.

Those that didn't go missed out. It did not rain even though the second race was declared a rain race. Dry track and clean racing all around. I think we are starting to get along well.

Bruce, to just say "we are starting to get along" is an understatement. We are doing great. I got great point-bys all weekend. The split qual is fab! The first race had Mike Hill on the pole in his first "leader of the pack" role. He charged out way faster than I like because the lead Fords were getting the green while the Vees were still in T4 (well, close to that anyway). The second race, I took matters into my own hands and slowed way down (I was in the P2 spot). So even though the pole sitter charged ahead, I held up the rest of the field. He had to stop and wait for us at T 10. This allowed the Vees to be in close contact with the back of the Fords which meant it took longer for the Fords to catch the Vees. Hope it was not too tough for the fast Vees to get by the slow Fords. I want to especially thank Ron W for letting me by at the top of T5 in the first part of race #1. I hate passing there, but Ron made a great heads up move and we both made it though unharmed. Congrads on the victory, too, Ron dave
