Round one of the Formula Car Magazine Formula First Cup has come and gone. It was a great weekend for the M-5. We qualified on the pole and finished second in the race. I think we surprised many people with the performance of the M-5. Kurt LeMay deserves much credit for designing such a great car. The track was pretty easy to learn, 4th gear only, with lots of late apex's. Average speed was 90mph with a top speed of 115mph into turn one. It was great to see all of the left coast drivers performing very well. I am looking forward to round two at Gratten Raceway in Michigan. Hopefully, we will be able to make some improvements to the HP before the next round. Running the fan is really hurting the top end performance. Scott
