Rught now we aren't even pulling good numbers for our Regionals. Gas, the economy, everything is taking a hit.

truth be known, $550 entry makes Salt Lake City @$400 seem close. Colin, Marge and I are running there. Actually for me, SLC is closer than Seattle plus the no rain promise is a deal maker.

Too many things working against getting down there for the Seattle or Portland race this year. The $550 entry, while not a big percentage of the rest of the costs, (both time and money) was a factor in throwing in the towel on trying to make all the arrangements to get down there. Anyone looking for a car, trailer, tools, spares and tow vehicle?

Hate to hear you're thinking of leaving our ranks. Mike has a really nice car that's worth a look.

I'm sorry to hear you're thinking of throwing in the towel, Mike. We've had a lot of fun racing at Pacific Raceways the last several years. I remember your win on the half wet/half dry track in 2006. You were on slicks and you held off Laury and I coming up fast on rain tires during the last few laps. And who can forget the rain-shortened race of a few years before that when Stan Townes raced the yellow Mysterian and we were all caught on slicks when the sky opened up and it was so slippery a few of us went straight off the kink (T1?) at the end of the main straight. I think Ethan hung on to win that one. Hope you change your mind, Mike.

Looks like I better clarify the "throwing in the towel part". I gave up on trying to get things together in order to make it to this next weeks races in the northwest. But, common sense is starting to wedge it's way into the picture too. I have said for the last few years that I "should" get rid of the car, trailer, van and so forth, because it's takes way too much effort and money to fly down there, do whatever maintenence that would normally be done over the winter in your own garage, tow to wherever the race is, enjoy the race weekend, tow back to Spokane, and fly home. As much as I hate the idea, renting would probably make more sense than what I am currently trying to do. As much as I would miss the racing, I would miss the people in this group more. I'll still be around, but probably even less than usual. Also, finally admitting that I should sell the equipment is a long ways from actully sellling it.

Mike,
While I do not want you to sell the car (and shouldn't tell you of people looking), but there is a guy on the ICSCC board who is looking for a vee. Check the Conference board and contact him. He may be interested in a turn-key deal.
