Just seeing if anyone is going to the national at fernley. I heard they are going to run the 2.8 Horsepower track. Fernley is 30 mins. east of Reno. When i drove trhough there on Sunday it was WINDY, so not sure if that is an indication of that area. Take a look at the track. Looks like a Kart track. www.reno-fernleyraceway.com/track_road_course.php

i was going, but my season is prematurely over for lack o' funds. but hey you guys, it's only twice as far away as thunderhill, and although it's not as nice of a facility, the track is a hoot. the downhill front straight have some awesome esses that lead into a really tough decreasing radius left hander. think entering t-hill turn 2, but at terminal velocity, and whilst the car is still loaded to the left. plus, you can gamble away any free money you might have in town, theres dirt track action saturday night, AND there's a gun range right there at the track! bring your automatic weapons! thumbs up from me... -ethan

It's roughly 35 miles east of Sparks and motels are a bit scarce. The houses of ill repute outnumber the hotels. The wind is a constant. A bit dusty too. While 170 miles from Sac. it's a real climb to get over the Sierra's. I've seen the track but have not run it myself. My friends told me to make sure to have a steel belly pan to avoid a granite enema. Like WIllow Springs, it's a bit rough off track. I would have gone but I'm in Chicago waiting for the June Sprints.
Ran Mid Ohio last weekend and forgot how beautiful the place is. Set fast time of the race; only 2 tenths off Jon Forgarty's track record, but finished 2nd to Jeff Loughhead. Traffic played a role in the race but everything was clean. Nothing like going into the 100mph turn 1 four abreast! On to the Sprints!

Congratulations, Brian. I really liked Mid Ohio and wanted one more try at it. Losing to Jeff is not too shameful. Good luck at the Sprints. With your car working so well why not try HPT this year? Leroy

well quinn, i'm thankful for the forgiveness, i still consider myself a vee guy, but i can't really rationalize TWO racecars at the moment. and i still have unfinished business with this money pit, so hold tight, i'll be back before long. unless i win the lottery. then i'm building my own racetrack and inviting my friends over to race me in my fleet of cars. it's gonna be like malibu grand prix, but with real cars.

i can't really rationalize TWO racecars at the moment I wasn't suggesting you own two. Sell the FF! BTW---Let me know when you win the lottery. A fleet of F1000's sounds like fun.
