I have just been informed that the entire Instinct Racing team will be competing at Infineon Raceway on Sept. 4-6. Along with our regional regulars Jim Petrek, Dan Phipps, Tom Stratton and Chuck Cooper, we will also have Colin Cross, and Marjorie Lundberg coming up from L.A. and Laury Lundberg down from Oregon! At the FV barbeque in Redwood City many of the West Coast Vee drivers commented on possibly attending this race. This is shaping up to be THE best regional race of the year for the SFR/SCCA. I know many of you are already planning on entering, but for those drivers not yet commited now is the time to pull the trigger. The schedule calls for 1 practice session, 2 qualifying sessions, and 2 races of course with Sundays race finishing at 11:20am. All in all, a really good schedule for Group 4. See the schedule here> www.sfrscca.org/images/2009/Schedules/09sept4sched.pdfEntry Deadline Aug 21st. Tires are available through Larry Rodrigues and Roger Kraus. Enter now and get back in the saddle for a super race in FV! ;D Roll Call (please add yourself to the list) _________ * Is Possible __________________________________________________ 1. Jim Petrek 2. Dan Phipps 3. Tom Stratton 4. Chuck Cooper 5. Colin Cross 6. Marjorie Lundberg 7. Laury Lundberg 8. Scott Meyer 9. Dave Schrady 10. Ron Wake 11. Jeff Olinger 12. Dave Morss 13. Brian Swanson 14. OK, I haven't raced at Sears Point since 1992. Where is everyone going to park? I plan on getting there on Wednesday evening if they will let me in. I do have a motor home so I'm not sure if I can park where ever I want, or will they put me in a designated area.
Thoughts?

I too will be arriving on Wed. evening. We usually try and pit behind the grandstands. They will let you in.

;D I just registered. My collar bone is still tender but I can't miss this big a field at Sears Point! Now where did I put those shoulder harness pads...

They have a total entry of 284 this time. I guess we are going to have to squeeze ourselves in and make room for everyone. It will be good to see so many there.

As of this evening (Wed.) I created a Vee compound between the grandstand and the bottom of Ramp # 2. There are 40 inch deliniating pylons and small cones around an area roughly 50 ft. by 200ft. not sure how many can sqeeze into it, but dd speak with the paddock marshall and told him our intentions.
Jim is on the corner at the bottom of the ramp and Colin and Marge behind him. Hoping to put Tommy and Chuck next to us, and slip in Dan and Laury somewhere close. this leaves quite a bit of room left.
There is a 500 in this rectangle near the grandstand, and hoping he will help keep everyone else out 'till we fill up the area. No promises, but during testing Thursday we will try to keep the area open for everybody. See you there.
