By "they" do you mean Mike and Alan? Last I spoke to Jess, they were in and Jess was renting a garage.

I'll be there. Last I talked to Jess and Al they told me they'd be there with rented garage. I don't know about Mike, but he's entered according to SF Entry List. L

Jess, Alan and Mike will not be there. Jess totalled the Miata in Portland last weekend when he hit the wall at 100+ MPH..... Alan is not going without him, and Mike's back is still hurting. So none of them are going.....
Jess' car is repairable, although he hit so hard the rear wheel was ripped off.... Jess is fine.....
Apparently they crossed the finish line and he looked up to wave to the flagger and when he looked back down a mustang (Novice - first race) in front of him had slammed on his brakes after finishing.... he swerved to avoid him and slammed into the wall. I told him next time just hit him. Mustangs are softer than cement!!!

Stephen - I'm really sorry to hear that about Jess. I know it's tough on Al also because he and Jess had worked very hard on getting the car ready. Our sport can be very cruel. Leroy

I spoke to dad today. Apparently, Alan is not happy with his beam setup so he is not cominig. Too bad; he spent the winter basically cutting the car apart and improving it.

1st race, Q. Posner, McCarthy, L. Andrade flag out two laps early under caution and pace car. Second race D. Andrade, Q. Posner, L.Coppedge, B. Harding. Terrific four way battle with less than 1/2 second difference in first four positions at finish line. My shift linkage broke on pace lap.
d**n near lost my second place on Sat. Was disqualified for having the wrong socks on! Clearly adimit I did the wrong thing. Just in a rush and didn't change socks when dressing. Protested the decision and got my finish back. I wouldn't say that the "region that knows how" showed us much this week. Maybe it's time to put the social crew in charge. The Sat spread was unbelievable. Hope the workers enjoyed our contribution. One operating steward admitted to me that they were a bit "rusty". I told them to practice on a regional race weekend next time. Just joking guys.

So, how bad was Ethan's car? I see he DNF'ed and figure he must have gotten taken out in the wreck at he start.

AAARRRGGGHHHH!
That absolutely sucks. Nothing worst than being taken out just for being in the vicinity, especially when a lack of awareness from someone else is the cause.
BTW---No one hit any debris, but that certainly explains the axle bouncing down the track!

Congrats on the win, Quinn!
Sorry to hear about the wreck Ethan. How was it going before then? Was Stan Townes racing?

Stan won both races. Fell way back after the first lap shomazal and worked all the way back to the front. Great to see him back.
