I am very sorry to hear of Scott's passing. When I lived in California, I bought no less than 3 FVs from Scott! When I went to super school in 98' (I think), it was Scott who did all the work to get me through it. As I recall, late on Saturday we dropped a cylinder and had to get through that, but we made it through the weekend due to his effort. At various points we raced on the same weekends, we were always comparing notes.
:(He will be missed.

Geof,
Thanks for the reply and remembrance of Scott's helping way's. I too met him through FV when i bought one from him. I came to his place in my 1965 VW single cab truck to pick it up. He thought it was cool, and fast when we took a ride. He offered to help me with driving school, i said i would crew for him so i can learn the ropes and about the S.C.C.A. before i drove a car. It seemed the natural route to take, follow, then lead your own crew. I ended up crewing for him for twelve(12) years and loved it. I then asking him to be my chief test/ main driver for the VSE Stinger FST program. Upon his passing he was at the beginning of helping yet another budding driver join our ranks in the S.C.C.A., I am going to finish what he started and help him get through school etc. so we can fill the number we lost among the ranks when Scott left us. While he is physically gone, it certainly appears Scott will be here for many years to come with all he helped keeping on, keeping on...Thanks again for the note and remembrance Geof.. ;D
